I had a feeling @thebutcherstableseattle would giv I had a feeling @thebutcherstableseattle would give me plenty to write about.
I just didn't expect it to be in so many different ways.

Of course, the Wagyu was a highlight. But so were the conversations around the table. Learning more about the Bordeaux flight, hearing the thought behind different pairings, and seeing how much intention went into every part of the experience made me appreciate the evening in a completely different way.

That's what I love most about writing stories like this. Looking beyond what's on the plate and understanding the people, thought, and care that bring the experience to life.

This reel captures a few moments. The full story captures everything else. It's now live on @fabulouswashington, and I've linked it in my bio.

"If you're waiting until you feel completely ready "If you're waiting until you feel completely ready... that moment may never fully come."

I kept coming back to that idea while reporting this story.

I thought I was writing about a parent's first overnight away from their child.

Instead, I found a story about identity, trust, and learning that readiness isn't always something you suddenly feel. It often grows through the small steps you take along the way.

Thank you to @fermatapsychotherapy, @embodied.mama.therapist, and @confidentlymommin for sharing your expertise, and to @parentmap for publishing my first print feature.

If this is a question you've ever wrestled with, I'd love for you to read the full story.

I recently visited @piattiseattle while working on I recently visited @piattiseattle while working on a feature for @fabulouswashington highlighting their summer spritzers.

Along with trying the seasonal spritzers, I also had the flatbread and sautéed mushrooms while exploring a wine list featuring both Italian and Washington selections. It's always interesting to see how local restaurants bring those different influences together.

It's located in University Village, making it an easy stop if you're planning to do a little shopping afterward or are visiting the University of Washington.

@renardscheese ended up being a great first stop o @renardscheese ended up being a great first stop on our press trip and a perfect introduction to Door County.

Along with plenty of cheese, they also had local jams, wines, and other local products to browse. Needless to say, we didn't leave empty handed.

We left with cheese curds. They were very squeaky.
