A few details from Willamette Valley I wanted to s A few details from Willamette Valley I wanted to share.

The garden at @brookswinery was full of flowers and pollinators, @amaterrawines had incredible views, and @sokolblosser had vines surrounding the patio.

@evening_land was incredibly quiet and serene, while @domainedrouhinoregon had a Secret Garden that I ended up wandering through on my own, overlooking the vineyards.

We stayed in Newberg, so @tastenewberg became part of the experience too, from the wineries to the time we spent around town.

Thank you to everyone who hosted us and to @oregonwine for having us.

I’ve stayed in plenty of places over the years, I’ve stayed in plenty of places over the years, but every so often, one changes the way I think about travel.

This article came from noticing a pattern in a few of those experiences and asking what actually makes a stay feel special.

I’m sharing the places that shaped that perspective and why they’ve stuck with me.

A few of the moments that stayed with me from Sant A few of the moments that stayed with me from Santa Ynez Valley came through the food and wine.

At @coastrangerestaurant, we tried the pan-seared scallops, while @peasantsfeast surprised us with a tiny bowl of heirloom tomato soup. Both restaurants are Michelin Guide recommended, and the freshness of the ingredients really came through in each experience.

We also tried æbleskivers, leaned into the seafood, and spent time exploring the local wine scene with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from @liquidfarm and @kingscareywines.

Local recommendations added another layer to the trip too, including @finalgirlwines in Solvang and winery hopping around Los Olivos.

Each stop brought something different, which made exploring the area through food and wine especially interesting.
