Strawberry Coffee Whipped Latte Recipe

on 01/29/22

Yields1 ServingDifficultyBeginner

[cooked-sharing]

Flay lat of strawberry coffee latte with dried pink flowers on wood
Latte Ingredients
 2 oz espresso
½ cup foamed milk of your choice
Strawberry Whip Ingredients
 ¾ cup heavy whipping cream
 ¼ cup powdered sugar
 ⅓ cup sliced strawberries
 ½ tsp vanilla extract
Garnish Ingredients:
 1 additional sliced strawberry
 1 ground cinnamon
Strawberry Whip Instructions:
1

Whip the heavy cream with a hand mixer or by hand until stiff peaks form. Slowly, add the powdered sugar to the whipped cream. Whip again until stiff peaks form. Ensure that the peaks are firm, and the cream mixture has lost its sheen.

2

Add the sliced strawberries to the whipped cream, and whisk until the strawberries have been fully incorporated. The strawberries should break down mostly, but it's okay if there are a few chunks left. Set mixture aside

3

Begin by frothing 1/2 cup of desired milk using a milk frother or wand. Set aside while you prepare the espresso.

4

Brew the espresso into your cup of choice using an espresso machine. Pour the frothed milk over the espresso. Stir together gently. Top the latte with a dollop or two of your strawberry whip. Stir into the mixture if desired. Add a sliced strawberry and a sprinkle of ground cinnamon for garnish. Enjoy!

I usually notice the coffee first, but this time i I usually notice the coffee first, but this time it was roasted barley tea🫖

My most hospitable friend kept refilling it all day like some people keep a pot on. Toasty, nutty, unexpectedly comforting. Plus, the experience was all the more elevated with her artisan ceramics🍵

And as I was headed out the door, her mom fittingly handed me single-serve pour overs she brought back from overseas. I was shocked to discover it’s about as close as you can get to specialty coffee in a pre-packaged setup.

I’m not replacing coffee.

But barley tea made a very respectable case.
